Ol' Don's classes are hands-on carving and often included lectures with handouts as part of the program,  Your finished carving will give you all the "braggin' rights" since Ol' Don doesn't believe in carving on a class participant's project.  After a brief introduction to the projects he spends class time walking around and around and around the table spending whatever time is necessary to share design ideas and carving techniques with each participant as they progress step-by-step through the project.

 Class participants are required to bring their own sharp hand tools and a pencil.  Time does not allow for painting in most workshop schedules but all students receive a handout explaining in detail Ol' Don's painting method.
